Miguel is a great artist and I look forward to hearing great things from him.
Sure Thing is directed by none other than the great Hype Williams. I think now it should be obvious to be able to point out a Hype Williams directed video.
A year after The I.$.H. Presents The Late Night Sessions R&B groove mix, I have decided to make a new R&B slow mix entitled In The Morning to follow up. I do have to thank a few special friends and a VERY special twitter/BBM friend for giving me inspiration to be able to make this new mixtape CD.
I thought Late Night Sessions would be my last R&B DJ mixtape, but I love music too much and always want people to hear and feel the passion that I have for the music.
I know a lot of people were waiting patiently for this, so without further ado...
For the record, I am not singing, this is a collection of my favorite new and hot R&B songs mixed together for your pleasure.
Also, this is for promotional use only! I am not trying to make money from this project, I just one day would like to be a TV Host/Music Personality...lol
All aboard! The Last Train To Paris has finally arrived and everyone that's taking this ride needs to get they ass to the floor immediately. Most people that know me, know I love to dance and don't need to drink to kick it off either.
When I first heard this song, I automatically related to it because I like to dance and don't care who's watching and what they think.
As Swizz Beatz says, "when you're in the club, get ya ass on the floor, them haters can't tell you nothing!" I love that line. The funny thing is I just heard this song yesterday and then saw the video today, so I immediately had to post it for the people.
Usually I don't speak about personal relationships and dating on SSD because this dating subject is a whole another can of worms I'd rather not open.
I do however have a love for music and so when the music incorporates real life situations in the lyrical content then I have no choice but to chime in.
What??? I'm just bringing you that heat, like normal.
The interesting thing about today's song "You Can Get It" by Ciara is lately I have been dealing with situations where I want to say to people, "Yo, Just Keep it Real."
Stop trying to pretend that you aren't interested when you really are. AND definitely stop acting like you could be interested when in fact you KNOW you really aren't. i.e. wasting everyone's time.
Atleast be honest with what it is you truly want from that "relationship."
I have a lot of female friends, so I hear all types of "stories" and its almost to the point where I want to grab a loud speaker and just go through the neighborhoods repeatedly saying, "Be upfront, keep it real." In other words, stop selling dreams.
In You Can Get It, I feel Ciara is right on point in a way where I wish more "liberal" women would be. Its almost like an oxymoron seeing as its supposed to be 2010 with equal rights but yet some women want to still pretend its back in the '40s when it comes to dating.
I say play the part entirely. When women want anything else in life including jobs, houses, pay raises etc, in this day and age is more than empowered enough to go get it. Why can't the same thing be said for a woman being vocal about wanting and getting her partner's initial attention?
I have heard some of my friends say if a guy doesn't approach her, she won't make the first move either. That can be detrimental seeing as she may miss out on something great.
I actually love a confident woman that knows what she wants. Don't wait for a guy to approach you, he might not catch your subtle clues.
The truth is most guys are aggressive and assume every girl wants them, and eventually the law of averages works out, but what about professional, reasonable and logical people (such as myself) that deal with women every day?
I'm a professional photographer so I would be an idiot to think that every woman that smiles at me is literally interested.
What I like about this song is Ciara is basically saying, yo I like this guy, I'm gonna tell him.
"Oh, Four Oh Four, Six One Two Hand me the phone I'll put it in for you Oh Woah Woah
Find myself slow dancin' to the song (to the song) See you watching baby I will put you on (put you on) Get up on me and I might just try it on (try it on) Tonight...you might just get this phone number
Four Oh Four, Six One Two Hand me the phone I'll put it in for you Running into you ain't no coincidence I been watching you forever since ...
...Tryna keep it one hundred because I'm not with the games, yo And I don't run around giving out in-fo Not tryna be funny it's just a side-note Otherwise I'm just fallin' for you"
-Ciara "You Can Get It"
In short, that's what I'm talking about CiCi, tell them what you want!
I will admit that I know alot of times women are worried on how they will come off by approaching a guy as well as worrying about what other people will think, but honestly, people will think things if you sit in the corner lonely, so why not go for what you truly want? I guess I should take my own advice. Ha.
T.I.'s camp has released the latest video from No Mercy entitled Pledge Allegiance featuring "the Baaws", Ricky Rozay.
This track is actually a bonus track that is featured on the deluxe edition of No Mercy. Its actually one of my favorite songs that leaked a while back so its good to see it stayed on the album and actually had visuals to go along with it.
T.I. is currently serving a parole violation sentence so any new music, videos or artist news is good to hear while he is gone til Novemver. Keep ya head up T.I.P.
I don't know where to start. After the birthday week I just had, I am so motivated to live the "Birthday Lifestyle" Year Around. I was treated like a king for a whole week. I have the greatest friends, family and business associates in the world.
The interesting thing is that some people live this birthday/king lifestyle daily, and once you get a taste of "the life", its addictive.
This year was definitely a motivational tool to keep me striving towards acheiving my dreams for sure. The thing I learned is the most important thing to this lifestyle is positivity, i.e. always believing "yes you can."
Through continuous positive energy I was able to start my birthday week off by going to Vegas on Monday to party with Mr. toot It and Boot it, YG.
Tuesday brought forth antics with Tre from Z90 FM and DJ Ironic. Wednesday, I was damn near front Row at the Usher OMG Tour thanks to Usher's Uncle Duron Raymond.
Thursday was my actual Birthday with a 3d Lightshow event hosted by Savvy Thursdays @207 Hardrock San Diego.
Friday, Shock G from Digital Underground hosted my official birthday party giving mad birthday shouts and even performed a 2pac birthday rap for me.
Saturday we were Popping Bottles at Barfly in the prestigious La Jolla, California area of San Diego.
Sunday was industry night at Hardrock with Mr. Mobeze Incorporated himself and Monday was the Chargers vs Broncos Monday Night Football game with my good friend Rosario.
I had a hell of a week for sure.
Now I am not bragging what so ever, but what I'm saying is motivation and positive energy are a motha....
Obviously, I won't live like that because every week can't be my birthday week, and I am thankful to have had that opportunity but then again if a person is focused and stays motivated towards his or her goals that person could live like Mariah Carey or Usher.
The funny thing about the birthday week is after it was officially over, T.I.s latest album would leak which is unfortunate but the hot song of the week would happen to be the song entitled Poppin Bottles featuring Drake.
After hearing this song, its obvious: time to get back to work in order to live the birthday lifestyle daily.
Today's I'm focused song is Moment 4 Life by Nicki Minaj featuring Drake. I wish that I could have this moment for life!!! Sometimes you have to sit back and realize all of the good things around you because one day they may no longer be there.
Friends, good times, money, life and all things can easily be taken away in an instant, so its important to cherish the life and people around you.
On Moment 4 Life, Nicki Minaj tackles this issue with sheer truth.
"I fly with the stars in the skies, I am no longer trying to survive, I believe that life is a prize, But to live doesn’t mean you’re alive, Don’t worry bout me and who I fire I get what I desire it’s my empire And yes I call the shots I am the umpire I sprinkle holy water upon a vampire, vampire And this very moment I’m king This very moment I slay Goliath with a sling, This very moment I bring Put it on everything that I will retire with the ring, And I will retire with the crown, Yes! No I’m not lucky I’m blessed, Yes! Clap for the heavyweight champ, Me! But I couldn’t do it all alone, We! Young Money raised me, grew up out in Paisley Southside Jamaica, Queens and it’s crazy cuz I’m still hood, Hollywood couldn't change me shout out to my haters, sorry that you couldn't faze me aint being cocky we just vindicated, best believe that when were done This moment will be syndicated, I don’t know this night just reminds me of everything that they deprived me of, kuhh! ppppp put ya drinks up, it’s a celebration every time we link up We done did everything they can think of Greatness is what we wanna brink up." - Nicki Minaj
When you are striving for a goal, its important to feel exactly like Nicki in this song in order to be successful or you may get sucked up within the extra-curricular madness.
The downside of being an artist is often times it seems like people may tend to only use you for your gifts and what you can do for them but when you find real friends that don't care "who you are" its always good to be able to share this special time with them.
The fact that I am blessed to share two days celebrating my birthday with multiple groups of friends is the greatest feeling and a blessing in itself this weekend.
Anyway, make sure you cherish your moments and cherish this song...Do people still use ringtones??? HA!
Oh and shout out to @NicoleEssco for the heads up to this song.
Good morning Music Heads! #ScorpioSeason always brings me good fortune and cheer! So of course I have no choice but to share my birthday month celebration with you all.
Being in the entertainment industry, I am usually privileged and honored to get jewels before they officially drop and today was no different. I woke up and to my surprise the entire song for Blame Game has hit the streets.
I will say Kanye West has set a new standard for how your work ethic should be if you call yourself an artist. Too many times people get involved with something because of the commodity aspect of it. When that happens, the passion is lost and the over all product loses value because of the lack of heart and effort put in.
But Kanye with his non-stop motivation and hard working dedication towards honing and mastering his craft, "yeezy taught me" this is the only way to become great, regardless of the monetary gain that potentially can be involved.
By yeezy continuously dropping free music on G.O.O.D. Fridays, it shows his passion towards his art and I am compelled to buy his new album just because I want to support good work ethic as well as to pay homage to the actual heart and soul of a true artistic spirit giving everything to achieve a goal.
Or maybe it could just be because I like the music and want to give myself something G.O.O.D. for my birthday? Hmmmm...
The New Blackberry Style has recently launched for Sprint and other CDMA networks. The "Style" is the latest flip blackberry phone with 6.0 operating system.
Of course the new advertisements would be sure to follow promoting the latest edition to the blackberry smartphone collection.
I'm still working on being in one of those commercials seeing as I love what I do, so we will see how that works out.
Anyway, thanks to http://www.pocketberry.com/ for the headsup. I just love the fact that Common's song Be (a hip Hop classic) is featured in the latest ad.
For all of those people (cough...me...cough) waiting for birthday gifts on November 18th, I have a solution...come to my party hosted by Shock G, then hang with me at the Chargers/Broncos football game and of course buy me a copy of Kanye's new CD. (What a busy birthday week I will have...).
Since its only November 8th, I have to wait 10 days for the debauchery to commence.
If you haven't figured out by now, yes this post is intended for me! I basically can't wait for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy to drop so I searched the web for any type of snippets, unfinished, non mastered songs and to my surprise found this mixtape entitled Love Hate with some of the featured songs, snippets and full tracks from the Runaway Video.
What's cool is I KNOW with all the leaked songs out, Kanye will freak the tracks so the album versions will be completely different from the leaked versions we've already been hearing.
Anyway...
This should give me...you a fix until the album drops November 22nd.
