Alicia Keys - Speechless

The thing I like most about A Dot Keys is that she is an artist true and through. Alicia Keys embraces musicianship, lyrical writing skills and of course the actual delivery.

I also love music and I love the creation process of music. Most times I just want to be in the studio just to vibe with these talented artists. I used to be a drummer and DJ so I understand the engineering and production part of track making. Even though I don't produce anymore, I still love music.

If you want to talk about goals and New Years Resolutions, mine is to be in the studio more with ESTABLISHED artists taking epic photographs that tell the story of the creation process.

The funny thing is I was just talking to my man @DJBILLEKNIGHT about Art and what it means to be an artist, and then I just happened to stumble across the Making Of Speechless video . Through our convo and seeing the speechless video, I was just inspired again.

Anyway, I'm digging this Swizz Beats, Alicia Keys and Eve rendition Speechless using Kanye West's Devil In A New Dress beat.

I also was inspired to write a new piece called "Artistic" talking about how to turn passion or an abstract thought into concrete Art (something tangible). So Go check that out when you have a moment.

Lloyd Banks - Start It Up

It seems as if Lloyd Banks is on a roll dropping another potential heat seeker to keep you warm in the up coming winter months. Banks has teamed up with Swizz Beatz, Fabolous, Ryan Leslie and Kanye West to hit the people with the motivational anthem Start It Up. This is my I'm Focused song for the day.

Sometimes you just need that small extra push to get you motivated to accomplish your goals and with its pulsating yet driving beat, Start It Up is definitely the right song for the job.

A lot of times when people don't believe in you, it can be very discouraging but on the other hand, it can be fuel to energize you by proving those that doubt you oh so wrong.

In the words of Swizz Beatz on this song, You got A Problem...vroom vroom Start It Up!

Start It Up is another possible song from Lloyd Banks The Hunger For More 2 album dropping soon.

Anyway, check out this motivational music that can be the inspiration you need to get your day started while putting the haters in their place.

Getting Ready For Opening Day...

Oh You Fancy, Huh!?

"All my 'DAYGO' girls, let me see your hands, Wave em at the 'breezies' hating on you with their friends, Girl you got it, Let em know everything big, Nails done, hairs done, everything big!
Go Cinderella, Go Cinderella! Orgasm blush Lipstick ‘n concealer, Devil in a tight dress, Girl you a killer and ain't nobody realer, And ain't nobody realer...Showtime... Go, Go, Go! As we proceed!!!"
- Fancy by Drake

And so here we are again. Tomorrow the Opening Day of Del Mar Race Track will be upon us. Opening day is the first day of the Del Mar horse racing season and the very special day where all the girls get dressed up wearing the Big Hats and fancy dresses and all the guys throw on a suit jacket to enter the infamous Turf Club. This is a premier day in San Diego.

Missing Opening day of the racetrack is like visiting Atlanta and not going to the Underground Mall, going to Chicago and not having a Maxwell Street Polish or Hot Dog, or going to New York and not visiting Times Square.

These epic events and places are things you must take part in if you visit the respective cities.

Tomorrow, I can atleast assure you of one thing, I will be a professional tourist with a professional camera, so it won't be just a mere "work" day. It will be an extravaganza for sure.

The most exotic looking people always make for a great photo opportunity and I will definitely be snapping photos of the fancy people.

A List Media and TV Host Eric Edwards will be on hand covering the event as well.

All I can say is it will be Christmas in July, so step up and get your photo taken. ALL of the best photos from opening day will be posted here for sure.
