Drake - Paris Morton Music
Ahhh, just like clockwork it had to show up right on time. I knew It had to be somewhere. He never lets me down.Every time I hear a song with Drake with no actual rap verse on a track I feel let down at first. So of course when I heard Aston Martin Music by Rick Ross, Chrisette Michelle and Drake, I knew there had to be a Drake verse somewhere out there.
But then again when I think about it, wait a minute, this is Drake the same person that redid "Unthinkable" and "I'm Still Fly" and in my opinion made them better. Enough Said.
Anyway, I think this is more of a freestyle moreso then a lost verse but I could be wrong.
Oh well here you go.
(Paris Morton is a Model by the way)

The Big Time...Big Dreams Realized

Dreams are only fulfilled when you wake up and go get them. I am proud to say that I believe if you really want something you can have it. I have seen people realize their dreams over and over again first hand. Yes, if you didn't know, this is the exact reason I like Drake so much because he believed in himself and strived for perfection even with the odds stacked against him.
He is a rapper that's Jewish, from Toronto! Hey, anything is possible if you believe!
Its just patience and perseverance that people lack in why they don't reach the mountain top. The journey doesn't just stop once you make it either.
Its a hard road once you get there because even after you make it to the promised land, now the cost of living goes up.
But the trials and tribulations are definitely worth it if you can truly look back and say you set a goal for yourself, looked straight ahead, didn't let anyone hinder your progression and accomplished it.
For once in this struggle, journey and up and down pattern called being an artist, there is always a good story that happens IF you choose to remain positive throughout the experience.
I know it sounds bad, but someone always has it worse then you and just think, how many people are making a living or even a single dollar for that matter, from what they truly love?
One of my colleagues Dominique Laurina has done the inevitable. A few years ago she moved to LA to finish what she started in San Diego which was make the big time for modeling.
I remember I shot this G-Star Raw fashion show she was in while still living in San Diego when she told me she was moving. Awesome!
Now, of course me knowing my friend, she will be humble and tell you that she hasn't made it and she's still working and blah blah blah. Forget that!!! If you work hard like she does, enjoy the fruits of your labor!
Anyway, how many models do YOU know being featured in a fortune 500 ad? And she loves Apple too. HA!
Check her out on facebook and tell her "ISH TOLD ME to say congrats!"
Although she's a big deal so if she doesn't know you, she may not add you for privacy reasons. What!!!? I'm just saying!
You know I Love you Dominique!
If Dominique isn't a positive motivational factor for artists everywhere, we might as well ALL quit and go back to working at the drive-thru permanently.
I refuse that! So from me personally, thanks to Dominique for inspiring myself and artists all over! Lets Get it!
Oh and Dominique, could you please update your site for the people every once in a while please!
Or at least for me. Thanks.

Lights, Camera, Action...

Last night was more than just your weekly Taco Tuesday extravaganza. A model casting call was held at Taste And Thirst to welcome summer to the city. I had the pleasure of catching some behind the scenes shots of potential models auditioning to possibly catch that exposure that could lead to great things.
Eric Edwards, host of A List Media, was on hand as well to catch some interviews with the potential models.
A lot of friendly faces and new faces alike came out to support the casting call for Party For A Purpose. From the looks of the casting call turn out it seems like it may be a hot summer. Let's work!

Hair Models for ASC..

It's no secret, my photography takes me all over the place including in front of the lens from time to time. The other day was no exception when I gotta call from Jeremy Harris to become a model for his clipper hair cutting class. You gotta love the trusty Andis T-Liner clippers. What's great is Jeremy already cuts my hair, so of course I was more then honored to have him teach others how to fade, line, and taper it up using me as the model!
The cool thing was I originally was supposed to come in for only a line up but ended up getting a whole fresh cut which was even better for expanding the class's knowledge base and the best was for me getting a fresh cut to stay stunting!
Teaching this class truly shows Jeremy's versatility because it allowed him to show the students how to cut all types of hair. And By Jeremy having the knowledge to be able to cut my dread locs a year ago, as well as curly hair, 360 degree waves, straight hair, Mohawks and everything in between on a day to day basis just emphasizes the versatility. Jeremy is pretty talented, I mean at least in my opinion.
*sidenote obviously I couldn't take pictures of myself so NO, you can't see me modeling! But my cut was ON point! ha ha ha...
Little did I know, the irony of the day was that I wasn't the only model in the class either. DJ Sid Vicious and Jason Gregory of San Diego Downtown News were also on hand to get a cut while modeling for the class as well. I did however have to grab the camera and snap some shots of those two!
Anyway, I think I can do this modeling thing, I like the perks! ha...

Miss Be Shaving!!
As President Obama predicted, 2009 must seriously be the year of change. I wasn't gonna post anything about this but it seems as if this is an on going trend. Not only has Cassie but La La (Mtv Host), Ri Ri (Rihanna) and CeCe (Ciara) have ALL taken a page out of Bri Bri's (Britney Spears) book of hair styles by shaving or cutting off a part or all of their hair. 2009 REALLY is the year of change to the extreme from the first black president to people shaving only HALF of their head, and not in a mohawk form. When Britney cut her hair, everyone thought she was nuts, but actually I guess she knew something that everyone else didn't know. It was just too early and it wasn't time for the change. I really don't know who was copying who but if you ask me this is getting out of hand. Sean Paul has shaved the side of his hair and only has braids on the top and Eminem dyed his hair from the blonde to black. I don't know how long this will gone on, but far be it for me to say what's hot or not, that's your job. I'm just here to point out the trends. I even jumped on the change bandwagon by cutting my dreads of 8 years back in April. 2009 is definitely the year of change!
Pony Shoes/Ivan S. Harris Photography Summer Fashion Contest Winner
I would like to congratulate Bree Rangel for winning the I.$H. & Juelz Presents Summer Fashion Fair contest. About a month ago, Bree won the summer fashion fair contest sponsored by Pony Shoes, Inc. and Ivan S. Harris Photography. Pony shoes and Ivan S. Harris Photography along with I.$.H. & Juelz Presents... hosted a Summer Fashion Fair at Red Circle Night Club. The contest was dedicated to summer fashion because it was the kick off to summer and a lot of women are known to wear the short shorts to show their appreciation for good ole summer weather. Bree had the best outfit wearing the short shorts so she won a pair of Pony Shoes, and a free photoshoot with Ivan S. Harris Photography. So congrats to Bree...

Inspiration: Grab The Bull By The Horns...
Every once in a while, along comes a person that just inspires you to FINALLY get off your ass and get things done. I'm not sure who did that for Amanda, but Amanda surely did that for me. I had been playing with SSD's concept for about a good month when @thatdudejuelz (we speak in twitter language around here kids) told me to go check out http://www.helloamanda.com/. "Hello Amanda" obviously is A site dedicated to Amanda's thoughts! I love it. When I saw her site, I thought, MAN, there is NO reason why SSD shouldn't be up and running. I love her site and seeing Hello Amanda gave me the inspiration to finally finish what I started. What's even crazier is that we have a mutual friend (one of my models) name Erin G! (HEY GIRL!!!!!) So I'm cruising through and see ONE of my random I.S.H. photos from a fun filled night @hardrocksd I'm sure...lol talk about a small world! Anyway, thanks Amanda for the Internet push I needed! Go check her out and tell her I.$.H. said hey!
