YG @ Belo

There was a lot of tooting and booting going on when Def Jam recording artist YG dropped by Belo night club to perform his hit Toot It And Boot It.

The crowd was amped and ready to sing along to YG's performance in which he did not disappoint.

Birthday Girl Melissa Green also celebrated her birthday in style when YG tooted and booted with her on stage.

The night made for a pretty eventful time as the sold out crowd interacted with Melissa and YG to set the party off.

Ron Artest @ Belo

Ron Artest stopped through San Diego to celebrate his LA Lakers Victory party with fans. I don't think he brought his psychiatrist with him though. The evening was full of energy and Artest performed his song Champion. I actually like the lyrics especially seeing as Artest doesn't claim to be a rapper.

I guess he had some things on his chest and felt the need to express it through song.

Lloyd @ Belo hosted By Rocsi of 106 and Park

Living in San Diego, you never know what "the life" will bring, so I almost always try to have my camera with me.

As it turns out, my good friend DJ Ironic had to DJ when Lloyd stopped through San Diego's nightclub Belo and brought his special guest Rocsi from BET's 106 and Park to host this special night.

Actually, Rocsi was a surprise guest host, so when the sexy TV personality came on stage, naturally the crowd went crazy.

It was all love for me, because I wasn't even scheduled to work this event.

Lloyd gave an excellent performance and stayed later in the night to take photo opps with fans and staff.

Remember the 90's...

Thinking back to my teens, I can remember High top fades, Crossed Colours, Damaged Jeans, Karl Kani, In Living Color, MC Hammer pants and all other things 90s related but it also reminds me that I am kind of late with this posting, but then again, this post is a remembrance event.

Skee Lo stopped through San Diego recently for a remember the 90's party at Belo Night club. I know you may not remember who Skee Lo is, but he had a smash hit back in the day. You know, it's the song that goes, "I wish I was a little bit taller, I wish I was a baller". The event was a good time to reminisce.

Here we are again for another adventure in Flaunt Fridays...I think this a great photo set this week and my new photography assistant Rebecca is really working out. She has great composition and is developing a great eye so be on the look out for her work.

Flaunt Fridays...The Residency

I am proud to say that I have picked up a new weekly endeavor in Flaunt Fridays. And I will say, shooting everyone Eelse's events is Always a good thing because you become well rounded, meet a lot of people and become very connected, but when you can launch, promote and host your own event is always even a better thing because its something that you can be proud of.

Flaunt Fridays is a new modern day upscale hip hop spot in the Gas Lamp which is hard to do. San Diego is very conservative and playing one type of genre of music brings a certain crowd no matter what the genre, so a lot of clubs play what you call mashups to keep everyone happy.

I am proud to be a house photographer for Flaunt Fridays seeing as it combines my 2 favorite things: Upscale & Hiphop. (Like I said in San Diego is a hard thing to do, not impossible, but definitely a challenge.)
