In a Major League Baseball historic episode, Texas Rangers pitcher Cliff Lee brought Game 3 of the 2010 ALCS to a screeching halt early leaving the New York Yankees scoreless, speechless and hopeless in an 8-0 Texas Rangers Shut Out win. I actually am a Yankee fan so of course my mouth was in awe.
The truth is Cliff Lee is an outstanding pitcher and you truly can't win them all especially when you have great players like him on the opposing team.
I am however going to throw an SSD flag right away because people will say The Yankees buy championships, but if you refer to the old playground days of course you always wanted the BEST players on your team. It only makes sense. And if you have the resources to get the best players why all the hate?
Isn't it the American way to have the best of everything. New York is the biggest city in the country so it makes sense for them to have revenue to match.
I know some people hate the Yankees but its still comes down to winning games no matter who is on the team.
Hopefully for the Yankees sake, Mr. Lee will join them because as of right now it seems, no team, not even the powerful Yankees can beat his powerful pitching.
